The PLT QA Engineer will: Assist the PLT QA Engineering Group Leader or the PLT QA Manager in the planning and application of improved statistical and engineering QA methods in the plant. Initiates and prioritizes process improvement activities such as Structured Problem-Solving (A3), Training, Auditing, Design of Experiments, Benchmarking, Gage R&R with recommendations for improvement. Monitors and analyzes plant and departmental key quality performance indicators such as Scrap I-IV. Participate or Lead specially assigned projects for plant and process improvements. Attend BT Meetings – Quality and Production. Draft, Publish, Institute, and Maintain all Quality Assurance documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, and Work Instructions. Perform capability and variability studies of plant equipment with recommendations for improvement. Audits Quality performance levels of assigned production departments. Perform other duties as directed by the PLT QA Engineering Group Leader or PLT QA Manager. Follow all plant and departmental safety, environmental policies, and plant rules and regulations. Special statistical and engineering work as required. Conduct training of plant personnel on QA related matters. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We may offer visa sponsorship. This position may offer relocation assistance. The Environment Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.  The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
