As a Senior Environmental Engineer focused on Stormwater Compliance, you will lead key environmental programs that support construction activities and facility expansion projects. In this role, you will partner with construction teams, contractors, facilities organizations, and regulatory agencies to manage stormwater compliance, implement effective environmental controls, and drive sustainable solutions that support operational excellence. Responsibilities: Lead Construction General Permit (CGP) compliance activities, including permit implementation, inspections, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting Develop, maintain, and oversee Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), stormwater records, site assessments, and compliance documentation Evaluate construction activities, BMP implementation, erosion and sediment controls, spill prevention measures, and site operations for environmental compliance risks Conduct environmental audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses while driving timely corrective actions Partner with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support environmental compliance, permitting, training, and continuous improvement initiatives Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management with environmental emphasis, or a related technical field 5+ years of experience supporting stormwater compliance, construction environmental compliance, environmental regulatory programs, or industrial environmental operations Knowledge of Construction General Permit requirements, SWPPP development and implementation, BMPs, and stormwater compliance regulations Ability to interpret environmental regulations, permits, construction plans, and technical requirements while managing multiple priorities Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting large-scale construction, facility expansion, or industrial development projects Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management systems, environmental auditing, and regulatory inspections Experience with environmental permitting, compliance reporting, spill response, hazardous waste interfaces, or air permitting support Experience working with contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional project teams Experience using AI tools to streamline environmental data collection, reporting, compliance tracking, and administrative processes As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
