NXP is seeking an undergraduate candidate for an internship program, to support the Front End Operations organization at the Austin Manufacturing & Technology Center. As a part of the CMP/Implant engineering organization, the candidate will work alongside manufacturing operations to enhance NXP’s manufacturing performance. Job Summary: Work on projects under the direction of an Equipment/Process Engineer to help optimize MTBF, MTTR, maximize equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality and cost. Participate in fab-to-fab standardization activities, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, as well as throughput improvement projects. Learn to develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics to meet department goals. Intern will be the owner responsible for the research, analysis, and presentation to fab leadership of one high-business impact project during their internship. Job Qualifications: Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field. Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills. Solid knowledge of SPC and its use in troubleshooting and making improvements. Aptitude and desire to learn new skills. Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment. In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
