Job Description   BASIC FUNCTIONS Execute preventative maintenance operations on highly automated assembly lines.  Preventative Maintenance includes, but is not limited to, focus areas for: Conveyor systems Press systems Axis systems Robots Pneumatic systems High pressure compressors Execute breakdown recovery activities for highly automated assembly lines. Assist process technicians identify the root cause error. Identify and procure spare parts expeditiously Install spare parts in a safe and efficient manner Verify station operation in coordination with process technicians. Repair and rebuild electromechanical assemblies used in the assembly line Follow repair procedures and create/modify as necessary. Identify and procure spare parts Test assembly for functionality The Maintenance Technician’s main role is to ensure that our equipment is able to run when desired! PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure assigned assembly equipment meets a high level of technical availability through the use of preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance techniques. Utilize knowledge sharing systems within the department:  Shopfloor Information System (SIS), CC Library (Docupedia). Utilize robust problem solving skills to identify root causes of technical errors and then take action to correct. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Understand mechanical and electrical systems (mechatronics). Troubleshoot electrical systems from 24-240V. Understand and navigate industrial control systems in order to identify and troubleshoot technical downtime. SAP Plant Maintenance module functions (work orders, equipment BOM, etc). Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (2yr associate desired) 2years of experience with automated assembly equipment. Experience with VM software and solutions (Promaster, Docmaster) Must be at least 18 years or older Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment Demonstrates self-initiative Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
