Micron Technology seeks a passionate, strategic, and community-centered Principal, Social Impact & Community Engagement to advance its social impact initiatives in U.S. regions and Mexico. This position provides a superb chance to serve as Micron's local advocate for inclusive STEM education. It involves supporting community efforts and employee participation at two diverse locations. Reporting directly to the North America Regional Director of SICE, you will lead the community engagement lifecycle for your territories. This involves sourcing and managing grants, mobilizing employee volunteers and donors, establishing partnerships with nonprofits and civic groups, and representing Micron as a trusted and visible corporate citizen. You will be part of a globally minded, fast paced team that prioritizes outcomes over outputs, innovation over inertia, and community as a core business priority. Responsibilities: Grantmaking & Portfolio Management: Source, build, and supervise a local grants portfolio consistent with Micron's social impact strategy. Emphasize growing access to STEM education, employment, and career pathways for underrepresented and underserved communities in U.S. regions and Mexico. Deliver STEM Signature Programs such as Chip Camps, Careers in Tech, and Going Tech through grants to trusted community partners. Steward grants through all phases, from partner identification and application assessment to impact evaluation and relationship support. Integrate participatory grantmaking practices, including engagement with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in portfolio development and decision-making. Manage all grants, sponsorships, and in-kind giving through Benevity, Micron's corporate giving platform. Employee Volunteering & Giving: Build and implement strategies that engage staff volunteers and contributors in U.S. regions and Mexico. Encourage a culture of giving and service. Lead site-level planning and coordination for Star Light, Micron's annual global month of service, ensuring strong participation, meaningful activities, and compelling storytelling. Cultivate partnerships with local nonprofits and community organizations that offer high-quality, skills-based volunteering opportunities for Micron team members. Community Engagement: Formulate and deliver a community engagement plan customized for each area, championing constructive relationships with nonprofits, schools, multilateral entities, government associates, and other civil society partners. Establish and continue connections with other corporate and private philanthropic bodies, presenting Micron as a credible and collaborative community ally. Represent Micron at local community functions. Act as a spokesperson for media and partner interactions related to social impact activities in U.S. regions and Mexico. Corporate Collaboration & Shared Value: Practice a shared value approach to corporate philanthropy, integrating social impact into Micron's broader business priorities. Partner closely with internal teams including Communications, Marketing, Government Affairs, Sustainability, Talent Acquisition, University Relations, Culture and Inclusion, and Team Member Engagement to ensure alignment and amplification of community work. Collaborate with SICE colleagues across Micron's global sites to share standard methodologies, scale successful programs, and contribute to team-wide priorities. Work as a liaison to specific ERGs, industry associations, and ot
