About the Role We are looking for an experienced  Technical Key Account Engineer  to support automotive component projects for Japanese OEM customers across  Passenger Car (PC) and Commercial Vehicle (CV)  applications. In this role, you will act as a key  technical interface between customers and Bosch engineering teams , supporting projects from acquisition and technical clarification through project execution and engineering changes. A key opportunity of this position is a  long-term onsite assignment at Bosch Japan for at least 2.5 years, expected to start by March 2027 or earlier . What You’ll Do Act as the  first-level Technical Key Account (TKA)  for assigned automotive component projects. Serve as the main  technical interface with Japanese OEM customers , handling technical questions, requirements, and clarifications. Support the execution of customer projects for  Passenger Car and Commercial Vehicle applications , ensuring alignment with project requirements and milestones. Support  new project acquisition activities  for Japanese OEM customers, particularly technical documentation and project-related inputs. Coordinate and track  Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)  for Passenger Car customer projects. Take ownership of relevant  Quality Gate (QG)  activities and support timely achievement of project milestones. Investigate and support continuous improvement activities related to  component and field quality issues . Prepare, maintain, and coordinate  technical customer documentation  according to project and customer requirements. Support engineering activities such as  technical drawings, experiments, and validation  when required. Develop strong technical expertise in  DNOX products and systems  through close collaboration with Bosch platform teams in Europe, particularly Hungary. Mandatory requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in  Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering , or a related engineering discipline. Approximately  4–6 years of relevant engineering experience , preferably in automotive, mechanical/product engineering, component development, or a related technical environment. Strong  Japanese communication skills  for direct interaction with Japanese customers;  JLPT N2  or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency is preferred. Good  English communication skills  for collaboration with international engineering teams and overseas stakeholders. Basic knowledge of  mechanical design, product engineering, automotive components, or product development . Strong problem-solving skills with a  customer-oriented mindset . Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across different cultures, functions, and locations. Proactive learning mindset and willingness to develop specialized technical and product knowledge. Willingness to undertake a  long-term onsite assignment at Bosch Japan for at least 2.5 years, starting by March 2027 or earlier . It'd be a strong advantage if you have: Knowledge or experience in DNOX, exhaust aftertreatment systems, or emission-control technologies. Previous experience working with Japanese automotive OEMs. Experience in project coordination, customer-facing engineering, or Technical Key Account (TKA) responsibilities. Experience working in an international or cross-functional engineering environment.
