Software Engineer SMTS The Ajna team builds and operates Salesforce's internal Kafka-as-a-Service platform — the distributed messaging backbone that powers real-time data pipelines, alerting, analytics, and event streaming across every major Salesforce product and cloud environment. The platform serves a broad ecosystem of internal engineering teams across commercial, GovCloud, and sovereign cloud environments globally. This team pursues principled, high-impact architectural evolution with direct consequences at production scale. The team operates with distributed coverage across Pacific and India Standard Time zones, maintains continuous on-call coverage, and is actively invested in intelligent automation — including AI-powered tooling built in-house to support triage and auto-remediation at scale. What We Are Looking For * Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including deep understanding of Kafka internals (leader election, ISR management, consumer groups,…
