About the Team The Architecture & AI (AAI) organization is a dynamic and evolving team that is spearheading Workday’s growth through trusted data excellence, innovation, and architectural thought leadership. Equipped with an array of skills in data & AI platforms and operations, enterprise architecture, data science, engineering, machine learning and AI strategy & product management, this team orchestrates the flow of data across our growing company while ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security. AAI is a global team distributed across the U.S., Canada and India. About the Role The Sr. Director, AI Strategy and Product Management role is accountable for guiding and driving our organization's AI initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of artificial intelligence, data science, and business strategy. This experienced and innovative individual will be responsible for defining, implementing, and scaling AI-driven solutions that align with Workday's objectives, ensuring a competitive edge in the market for our corporate and business functions. Beyond driving AI capability rollouts, this role will serve as a key catalyst in building, scaling, and maturing the overall Product Management muscle across Business Technology (BT). You will help establish product management standards, elevate functional discipline, and champion an outcome-driven, product-centric mindset throughout the broader BT organization. Key Accountabilities: AI Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and articulate a clear AI strategy that aligns with overall business goals and drives competitive advantage. Create and manage an AI roadmap that is consistently updated with capability rollouts, prioritizing initiatives based on potential business impact, feasibility, and resource availability. Mature Product Management Muscle in BT: Spearhead efforts to build and mature product management practices across Business Technology (BT). Standardize frameworks, elevate product leadership capabilities, and instill an outcome-focused, product-led culture across technology initiatives. Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including product, engineering, data science, and business units, to ensure seamless integration of AI initiatives and product practices across the organization. Innovation & Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on AI trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
