The Technical Architect — Marketing Cloud Next is an execution-focused technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end migrations from legacy marketing platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot, legacy SFMC) to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next. As a foundational member of the Strategic Migration CoE and Migration Factory, you will act as primary technical authority for the Marketing Cloud Next track — owning the solution design, data architecture, subscriber migration strategy, journey migration blueprint, and Data Cloud unified profile design. You will combine deep Marketing Cloud Next platform expertise with advanced data migration methodologies to ensure that subscriber data, consent records, journeys, content and preference data are migrated with full integrity, compliance and zero business disruption. RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the Technical Lead for Marketing Cloud Next migration workstreams, architecting the end-to-end transition from legacy email, journey and data platforms to Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data Cloud. Drive Enterprise AI Architecture by designing and integrating scalable predictive and generative AI solutions within custom Salesforce environments, optimizing performance, resource consumption, and platform governor limits Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states, using advanced LLMs like Claude to review architectural assumptions and simulate system edge cases Champion an AI-first delivery methodology, utilizing advanced AI tools, developer assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude), and agentic evaluation frameworks to accelerate implementation across projects Design the subscriber and audience data migration strategy, including data extension schema, subscriber key mapping, suppression list migration, consent record preservation (GDPR/CAN-SPAM/CASL) and historical send data handling. Architect the Salesforce Data Cloud implementation for unified customer profile design, identity resolution rules, data stream ingestion from source systems, and audience segmentation activation to Marketing Cloud Next. Own the journey migration blueprint — mapping legacy automation workflows, drip campaigns and triggered sends from source platforms to Marketing Cloud Next Journey Builder, including decision splits, wait steps and exit criteria. Define end-to-end data lineage including data profiling, cleansing logic, transformation mapping and reconciliation strategies for all subscriber objects, data extensions and consent tables. Lead functional and technical discovery workshops with client marketing operations teams to uncover complex migration requirements, data quality issues, consent architecture gaps and legacy platform dependencies. Design scalable, secure migration frameworks that handle high-volume subscriber data (LDV) while maintaining compliance with email deliverability standards, privacy regulations and platform governor limits.
