As a Component Engineer for Relays & Fuses, you will take ownership of the relay and fuse component portfolio within the Electrified Motion (EM) organization. Acting as the key technical expert in this domain, you will shape component strategies, drive technology roadmaps and support hardware development projects throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your tasks: ► Acting as the technical owner and subject matter expert for relay and fuse components within the EM organization ► Participating in the design phase to identify and select appropriate relays and fuses based on functional, performance, reliability and cost requirements ► Developing and maintaining detailed component specifications and ensuring alignment with hardware development teams and suppliers ► Leading strategic component management activities, including the development of technology roadmaps and supplier strategies in cooperation with EM-CCT and EM-PE organizations ► Managing and maintaining the EM Preferred Component Catalogue for relays and fuses ► Providing technical guidance and support to hardware development, manufacturing and quality teams ► Supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to component failures in production or field applications ► Monitoring emerging technologies, industry trends and standards related to relays and fuses ► Identifying, evaluating and developing supplier relationships for relay and fuse technologies ► Collaborating with suppliers on technical requirements, product roadmaps and performance improvements ► Acting as the primary technical interface between Bosch and external suppliers ► Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field ► Experience in hardware development and electrical/electronic components ► Strong understanding of relay and fuse technologies or related automotive electronic components ► Experience in component engineering, component management or hardware development processes ► Knowledge of supplier management and technical collaboration with external partners ► Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ► Structured and proactive way of working with a strategic mindset ► Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills ► Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) What gives you further advantages: ► Experience with relay and/or fuse applications in automotive electronics ► Experience in automotive hardware development environments ► Knowledge of component lifecycle management and technology roadmap development
